Our .50 Caliber Bullet Bottle Openers are 100% made and sourced in America from once-fired, military grade brass casings and demilitarized M33 or M17 projectiles.
We buy most of our brass in government liquidation auctions after it is fired and collected from stateside military training ranges, and most of our projectiles have been pulled from expired military ammunition. We then reload the projectiles into the casings, have a local machine shop use a CNC machine to cut the notches, then tumble them for a few hours to shine them up before preparing them for sale. Our silver bottle openers are nickel-plated and our colored bottle openers are powder-coated by local shops here in San Diego.
Since the casings have all been fired and the projectiles have been forcibly pulled from casings, minor nicks and scratches on the bottle openers are normal. Bottle openers that feature excessive scratches/dents are sold at a discount as our Vintage .50 Caliber Bottle Openers.
We offer in-house customization on almost all of our bottle openers, making them the perfect gift for weddings, graduations, promotions, retirements, or birthdays. We use a 30W Fibermark laser to etch our nickel and brass .50 caliber bottle openers, and for our powder-coated bottle openers our 60W CO2 laser burns through the finish to show the brass underneath. The Fibermark laser also etches permanent markings into the anodized aluminum dog tags that we attach to our 7.62mm keychain bottle openers.
